Don's Prime

The more elegant of Fontainebleua’s two steakhouses was chosen by Las Vegas wine dealer Bob Cranston (aka Bordeaux Bob) and Vegas Prime Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Don Chareunsy as one of their favorite restaurants to open in 2023, and one of Las Vegas’ best steakhouses. Scott Roeben of Vital Vegas concurred in the top opening of 2023 category.

They love it because Don's is old-school with modern flourishes, quiet and elegant. The cozy front-entrance lounge and dining room are misleading; there are additional dining rooms, and they go far back – you might get winded.

“I would suggest the Cross Creek Wagyu, an amazing 100% Wagyu grown in Colorado and exclusively served at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. It is one of the most memorable steaks you will ever eat!” Don’s Prime Executive Chef Patrick Munster told Vegas Prime.

That magazine’s editor, however, points to the jumbo lump crab cake, truffled risotto, seared Ora king salmon and sticky toffee pudding as standouts, along with the cart of multiple whiskeys for tableside cocktail (Old Fashioneds, Manhattans) service.

Pro tip: One of the entrance bar’s cocktails is garnished with a little feather.
